Conduit Coaching Seniors Care Leadership Academy

Are you ready to become a happier, more effective, well-rounded and influential Seniors Care Leader?

We hear in our surveys that the biggest challenges to being a GREAT Seniors Care Leader are

  • Communication with my staff when they need to be doing something better/or they did something incorrectly.
  • Motivating my staff to understand how to improve and manage their productivity.
  • Staying organized without getting overwhelmed by the workload.
  • Perfectionist tendencies…that slow me down and stress me out.
  • Different personalities of my staff.
  • Addressing behavior that isn’t up to my building’s quality…without a stomach ache.
  • Not knowing where to start from when there is no specific fire needing to be put out, but many urgent issues to be dealt with.

If you want help to tackle these challenges then join the Conduit Coaching Seniors Care Leadership Academy today and receive tools and support to hone an essential leadership competency each month.

Emotional Intelligence matters in Seniors Care

Tons of studies report the single most important factor for success as a Seniors Care leader isn’t IQ, advanced degrees, or technical experience — it’s Emotional Intelligence — the ability to recognise, understand and manage emotions in ourselves and others.

Makes sense really when you think about it.

Emotions are the bedrock of relationships with the residents your serve, the families your support (and who are key in deciding if their loved one will be moving into your community), and the staff you need to engage.

But wait a second …

  • Do you struggle to “remain calm and carry on” in a crisis? Or when there’s change or disagreement?
  • Have you noticed your team falls apart when there’s uncertainty or difficulty?
  • Fed up with turning failing (an action) into an identify (I’m a failure) when things don’t go your way?

If you answered “yes” to any of these … welcome to humanity. You’re not alone.

Here’s the good news. Unlike IQ, Emotional Intelligence is something we can grow and improve. And this month in the Seniors Care Leadership Academy we’re digging into Emotional Intelligence — Managing Yourself to Best Manage Others.

As a member of the Seniors Care Leadership Academy this November  you will:

  • Learn the top 4 skills of Emotionally Intelligent Seniors Care leaders.
  • Identify your Emotional Intelligence strengths and blind spots.
  • Practice a proven 4-point routine to strengthen your EI core.

The Even-Better news?

You won’t be alone.

You’ll hear on our Open-Mic calls there’s others in the same boat. You’ll join a community of thoughtful, insightful, and thriving Seniors Care leaders like yourself — committed to their growth and to doing what’s right for their residents and communities.

As part of our community of Seniors Care leaders across North America, you can count on getting honest and kind support as you work through how to make your team stronger so the hard truths are said, and received, with honesty and compassion.

This isn’t hocus-pocus. All of the Academy teachings come from the best of leading edge research, and have been validated through our decade-plus experience supporting leaders and teams in Seniors Care.

We take complex problems and boil them down to practical solutions.

Let’s work on your leadership together this month.

Don’t just take our word for it.

“As a new Operation Manager the Seniors Care Leadership Academy has helped me be more confident and effective.

I’m more aware of what’s going on with my staff, and more clear about my expectations with them.

Now I’m able to have difficult conversations to correct behaviors and catch problems before they escalate. And there’s more trust there with staff.”

Kandi Neufeld, Operations Manager, Lodge on 4th Ltd

“Since our senior leadership team all came up through the ranks, it wasn’t easy effectively leading staff who used to be our peers. Difficult conversations went sideways, and we felt like we were spinning our wheels.

We joined the Seniors Care Leadership Academy to blow some fresh air into us, and we’re really pleased.

The Academy is real time, real life. The topics are pertinent and applicable — we’re able to really take our learning and implement it. It’s been really good for us. Our leaders are more confident and staff take them more seriously.”

What you can Expect

Our monthly work together emphasizes the very best in Seniors Care leadership, leading-edge research on high-performing cultures in Seniors Care, and core principals behind inspiring and influencing stakeholders inside and outside your organization.

==> It’s a process to make leadership development easy and ongoing so you become a more well-rounded and influential Seniors Care leader…change and development happens over time.

Come meet the Senior Coach and Founder of the Conduit Coaching Seniors Care Leadership Academy: Mary Ellen Sanajko

Here’s how it works:

  1. First you learn about yourself — your style, strengths, and how you get in your own way. Each month you receive a self-assessment on the featured leadership principle. Before you change anything you’ll prioritize your growth areas and develop an improvement plan that builds on your talents.
  2. Twice a month you will receive an E-newsletter that includes a 15 minute audio program you can listen to at your convenience on this month’s leadership principle, and a customizable 1 page worksheet to guide you through the lesson and help you and your team apply the ideas.
  3. You will be invited to join a live conference call with Seniors Care leaders from around North America twice a month on the Thursday after your E-newsletter has arrived…to share ideas, learn from each other and to ask questions about the E-newsletter topic of the week so you can apply the learning IMMEDIATELY.
You learn from answers to your own and others’ questions because you’re not alone -– colleagues in other organizations are dealing with similar challenges. All calls will be led by Conduit Coaching Seniors Care Leadership Academy Coaches.
  4. You’ll help guide the selection of the monthly leadership principle we focus on in future months … to ensure the Academy meets your needs
